Me
My name is Elizabeth Emery and i live in Leeds, UK. I am 26 years old and i live with my fiance and two five year old cats. I am pagan and have been for around 12 years. I love being with my fiance and friends, reading, writing, and especially working on my art. I am currently studying a CIW in Web Design Management and would dearly love to work as a web/graphic designer.
My Art
I started drawing back when I was a young child, it started with being obsessed with cartoons and wanting to imitate them. Whilst my drawing hasn't much improved since those days my creativity has always been in overdrive. To begin with I would use the written word to try and express myself and have written, and still writing, a number of different stories. At some point in the last five or so years I was introduced to a blogging site called Livejournal and through that became very interested in photomanipulation. I started with doing 100x100 pixel icons of various tv shows and whatnot, eventually, in December 2007, I found my way into the world of digital art. After a bit of playing around i learn't how to use a 3D modeling program called Daz|Studio, and the rest, as they say, is history.
What I Use
To create my artwork I use Daz|Studio 2.2 and Bryce 6, these are 3D modeling programs both found at www.daz3d.com, Daz|Studio is free to download and then the site has a wide range of ready made models for sale. There are a range of other programs on the site which I do use on occassion. The support and forums on this site really are second to none and whenever i need help I get an answer with a couple of hours. For postwork and photomanipulation I use Paint Shop Pro 8, and easy to use and cheaper version of Photoshop and is great if you are starting out in photomanipulation on a budget.
